The new guild president of Uganda Christian University (UCU), Sserwadda Mirembe Recheal has clarified about her political stand after several political parties claimed she belongs to them.
The university’s policy emphasizes a non partizan political stand for all guild leaders. Following this, Sserwadda posted on her social media handles clarifying her stand on it.
“Hello fam, I would like to thank everyone for walking with me through this journey. However, the values and virtues of UCU are very clear about being non partizan institution. I wish to inform the general public that I am not affiliated to any political party,”she wrote.
Prior to this, Forum for Democratic Change(FDC) claimed that the female guild president was a subscriber.
“Our flagbearer for Uganda Christian university-Mukono, Ms. Mirembe Rachael Sserwadda has won the hotly contested Guild presidential elections.” FDC tweeted on their official Twitter account.
