The Dean of students at Bishop Stuart University Mbarara, Rev. Muhangi Francis has issued a notice regarding the students dress code on the University premises.
In a notice dated 1st December 2021, Rev Muhangi noted that with effect from 2nd December 2021 no one will be allowed to access the university premises, lecture rooms, offices and the chapel with the prohibited dress code.
“Sandals, damaged jeans, shorts, braided hair styles, tattoos, piercings/ear rings and uncombed hair are prohibited for males as mini skirts/dresses, mini pants, damaged jeans and tattoos are prohibited for the females,” part of the notice reads.
With this new policy, Bishop Stuart joins the Islamic University In Uganda(IUIU) in enforcing strict dress code guidelines and decency.
