Innocent Media’s 80th minute goal rescued a 2-2 draw for Arua Hill against SC Villa in a rescheduled league match.
Media was introduced in the 63rd minute to replace Samuel Sekamate.
The Kongolo’s were at the back by 2 goals scored by Ogwang Isaac and Nicholas Kabonge in the 39th minute.
Ogwang netted after a failed pick up by goalie Rogers Omedwa. Through a well delivered cross from Sadam Masereka, Nicholas doubled for the Jogoos.
Seconds to the halftime break, the visitors were punished for poor man marking as Alfred Leku tapped in Eseru’s back header to score a consolation goal for the hosts.
The Kongolos pushed for a winner and should have got it with the last kick of the match, but Innocent’s efforts to net Atendele’s long free kick were saved by Villa’s goalie Meddie.
Despite both teams pushing for a winner as the game grew older, the two were forced to settle for a draw and just a one-point earned.
Arua Hill retains the seventh position of the Uganda premier League table with 15 points as Villa also maintains in the twelfth position with 9 points.
On Saturday 18th December, Arua Hill will host UPDF at Barifa stadium as Villa hosts table leaders KCCA FC at the FUFA technical Center Njeru.
