Today, Wednesday December 22, 2021, the reigning champions Express Fc will be entertaining the log leaders KCCA FC in another Kampala derby at the Philip Omondi Stadium at 3 PM.
The red eagles will be aiming at ending the Kasasiro’s unbeaten run in eleven games and to also reduce the gap of points between them. Whereas the yellow boys will be aiming at widening the difference away from their rivals by fighting for all the three points. KCCA FC have 27 points with a gap of 8 away from Express.
The good news for KCCA FC is that some of their star players who missed a one all draw against SC Villa are back, including right back Innocent Wafula, striker Sadat Happy Anaku, midfielder Ashraf Mugume and defender Musa Ramathan. However, Midfielder Yassar Mugerwa, Julius Poloto, Peter Magambo, Brian Kayanja as well as the Wasswa duo of Emmanuel and Geofrey Wasswa are unavailable due to injuries.
For Express FC, they will come into this game without the services of midfielder Abel Etrude and left back Arthur Kiggundu who sustained injuries way back while Martin Kizza is subject to a late fitness test.
The Express FC head coach Wasswa Bbosa showed his confidence and readiness as he prepares for this game.
“We’ve prepared well ahead of tomorrow’s game against KCCA FC, we know we’re away but our target is one, to win and close the gap between us and them since they’re table leaders” Bbosa revealed.
In the last 25 meetings, between both sides have produced 11 draws while KCCA FC have managed 10 wins compared to Express FC’s four collecting 41 and 23 points respectively.
