The log leaders KCCA FC will be eying to grab all the three points if they are to secure their position in the Star times Uganda Premier League as they visit 12th placed Onduparaka FC at the Green light Stadium in Arua.
The Kasasiro boys are still unbeaten after twelve games winning eight and sharing points four times.
However, the caterpillars have only two wins, four loses and six draws in their last twelve games in the league.
In their last nine meetings, KCCA FC has been dominant wining seven, sharing spoils once and losing once.
Onduparaka’s left back Okocha Rashid fully comes back to the team; Okech Emmanuel to undergo late fitness while Dudu Ramadhan and Goal Keeper Opolot Emmanuel miss out as the rest of the squad is all ready to face the tough Kasasiro boys.
The Caterpillars will be building their game on the form of Muhammed Shaban who has so far scored five this season and was once a player at KCCA FC in the 2017 season.
For KCCA FC, Yasser Mugerwa, Geofrey Wasswa, Peter Magambo, Julius Poloto are ruled out of the game due to injuries. Wasswa Emmanuel and Kayanja Brian remain long term absentees due to injury. Experienced right back Dennis Iguma won’t be available as he was granted leave to attend to a family issue.
However, one of academy graduates Elvis Eddy Mwanje traveled with the team as he hopes for an opportunity to feature in the game. KCCA’s manager Molly Byekwaso revealed his readiness for the game as he knows what Onduparaka are capable of doing when at home.
“We have come here with a purpose. We want to pick points from Onduparaka. They are a good side especially when home. We have spoken about our issue of not converting chances with the players and tried to work on it in training. If we can get more clinical in front of goal then we can be unstoppable” Byekwaso said in an interview.
The game will be played at 3 PM.
In other games today, second placed Vipers SC will be hosting UPDF FC at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende also eying for the top position in case their rivals KCCA slip at Onduparaka.
