A section of Primary and secondary schools in Luwero have opted for charging school fees per day.
According to NTV, the schools claim that many parents are bankrupt so to make things easy for them, they had to charge per day.
Commenting on the matter, Sseninde Amon, one of the parents told the media that it would be good if it was made per week.
“The idea is good but it’s for those who get daily income like the chapati guys, bodaboda riders, and others. For us who get monthly payments will face challenges. It would have been weekly, we pay a week and look for money to pay another…,” he said.
January comes with several financial blues. These added to the wound that was caused by the lockdown two years ago, school fees feels like hell.
