The Uganda medical fraternity has lost an influential medical practitioner, Wewedru Charlse Izale.
The late Wewedru Charlse was born in 1957 to the late Desteo Itto and Victoria Waiya of pageribe clan in Adua Village, Moyo district.
He went to Moyo boys primary school for his P.7, Ombaci college for O-Level, Buddo SSS for A-Level.
He later joined Mulago for a Paramedical course and studied medical Laboratory Technology.
He proceeded and pursued a master’s in Tropical medicine from London school of Hygiene and Tropical medicine.
He was passionate in serving humanity through Laboratory Sciences, training, mentorship and research in medical microbiology.
He has a very fat work legacy which is built up of the following; Medical Laboratory Technologist at Mulago Hospital, Member of Mulago Hospital Drugs, Therapeutics and sundries.
He was also a part time tutor in Medical Microbiology in the school of Medical Laboratory Technology at Mulago Hospital and a senior Medical Laboratory Technologist at Mulago Hospital.
Be also became a member of Training and Examinations Board for Medical Laboratory Training School, Jinja and a Laboratory coordinator for Mulago Hospital and University College London Hospitals Partnership.
He was also a member of Board of Trustees for Uganda Medical Laboratory Technology Association (UMLTA)and a Head of department of Microbiology at Mulago National Referral Hospital.
He is very much recognized by his
Certificate of excellence and Exemplary Performance in the department of clinical laboratories from The Directors and Management of Mulago Hospital in1997 and a certificate of Merit for Excellency and Exemplary Performance in the department of Clinical laboratories from The Directors and Management of Mulago Hospital in 2001.
The medical fraternity shall indeed miss you.
