Following a letter drafted by the ministry of health, mandatory covid-19 testing for all incoming travellers at Entebbe airport has been put to an end.
This Commenced yesterday, the 16th of February,2022 after the cabinet’s decision on 14th February 2022, having noticed that there is a decline in positive cases at the airport, and a reduction in global threats of new variants of concern thus a reduced risk of imported cases according to the ministry of health.
On the other hand, testing for covid-19 prior to 72 hours for both incoming and exiting travellers remains valid.
The Ministry of Health adds that its workers will continue screening all arrivals and departures to verify their covid-19 certificates.
