The USA ambassador to Uganda Her Excellency Natalie E. Brown has asked the Islamic University Student’s Union (IUSU) leaders to Utilize the various opportunities granted by the USA embassy to Ugandan Students.
She said this while in an Interaction with IUSU leaders led by H.E kakande Hafdwar at IUIU Main Campus Boardroom in Mbale City.
‘’ Utilize our opportunities granted to Ugandan Students such as Fulbright Foreign, Online scholarships and Washington Fellowship,’’ she said.
On behalf of the Students, IUIU Guild President H.E kakande appealed to H.E Natalie for Scholarship to IUIU students from the Embassy, Advancement of IUIU medical Center through the Embassy Aid since it serves the Students and Locals of the Community.
Among the high position served in by H.E Natalie include Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy in Asmara, Eritrea from 2016-2019.
Other senior leadership positions include Deputy Permanent Representative and Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Mission to the UN Agencies in Rome, Italy from 2013-2016, where she was elected to represent North America on the Finance Committee of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
She also served as Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S Embassy in Tunis, Tunisia from 2010-2013 as that country transitioned from Dictatorship to Democracy. Throughout her career, Ambassador Brown has garnered experience in both bilateral and multilateral diplomacy with a geographic focus on Africa and the Middle East.
