Students at Clarke International University turned up for HIV AIDS testing and screening for diabetes and hypertension, in a community day that was organized by the university a few days ago.
Students and other youth from nearby places like Kabalagala, Namuwongo Luwafu, were lured by several entertaining activities such as dances, live band performances, student performances, a bouncing castle for children, and rock climbing.
According to reports, there is a high HIV prevalence among the youth in Kampala but the turn up for testing is too low. The move by the university in partnership with International Hospital Kampala (IHK) is a new tactic that may lure more youths to turn up for testing.
Below are some of the moments of the community Day.
