Ashia Aliniyitwe, a student at The Islamic University In Uganda, Kampala Campus(IUIU KC) could be the campus’ new Lady Vice after she successfully went through the Shura Council.
The lady vice aspirant, whose core values are; integrity, truth, and excellency is hopeful that with the social power she has gathered over the years, the students at the campus will entrust her with leadership.
Born to Kakoba Adam and Namuddu Fatuma as her father and mother respectively, she is proud that she was raised in a strong Muslim family and was groomed both religiously and worldly. She is the kind of lady that fits in almost everything situation as long as the boundaries of Allah are not overlooked.
As a child, Aliniyitwe grew up in Seguku, Kinaawa, and Nateete and attended Buddo Islamic School, St. Francis Junior School Buddo, and Buziga Theological Islamic Institute. She is now pursuing a Bachelor of Law and is in her third year.
As soon as her mind started separating white linens from black ones, she became ready to take on responsibilities. She recalls that she used to act like a leader during childhood games.
“I loved acting as a mother or a leader. I would lead my fellow young ones to different causes and it’s the reason I managed to take on leadership roles in my primary and secondary school levels…,” she says.
He was head girl at Buddo Islamic School, Dormitory Captain at Buziga Theological Islamic Institute, and Sheikhat at St. Francis Junior School Buddo. These roles groomed her into a great leader that she now sets eyes on the Lady Vice’s seat at IUIU KC.
Aliniyitwe is a life changer. She has always been part of the team that reaches out to the needy. She was part of the IUIU KC team that reached out to the needy in Kibuli, at the start of this year.
“I love changing the lives of others because it gives me peace. That’s why I am running for this post. I want to see the students at the campus very happy and can happily study…,” she says.
