The leader of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Patrick Amuriat Oboi has lauded the National Unity platform (NUP) for responding to the food crisis which is currently hinting the people of Karamoja region by donating to them 5 tons of food relief.
He commended NUP for the heart towards Ugandan amidst frustration from the ruling government.

Joel Ssenyonyi, the mouth piece of NUP confirmed that the party had flagged off 5 tons of food relief to the people of Karamoja but he however appealed to the government to wake up and respond to the people of Karamoja.
‘’Today, NUP flagged off 5 tons of food relief items to parts of Karamoja to help some vulnerable people there who are starving to death, Ministry of Karamoja, ministry of relief and disaster preparedness, please wake up,’’ he stated.
Currently, due to prolonged drought, over grazing in area of Karamoja the region has fallen a victim of food crisis leaving thousands in the region starving for what to eat.
