Busoga Kingdom today congratulated Dr Richard Balikoowa upon the award of PhD in Educational Psychology from Makerere University.
Busoga has added another PhD through Dr. Richard Balikoowa on the few PhDs in Busoga. At the Dinner organized at Nile Village Hotel, Prof.Dr. Muhammad Lubega the 1st Katukiiro of Busoga Kingdom accompanied by Owek Dr Joyce Abaliwano, Minister for Gender Busoga Kingdom, commended Dr. Richard Balikoowa for going past bear minimum and earn for Busoga a PhD which Prof Lubega believes will serve as an agent of change in Busoga subregion.
For her part, Owek Dr Joyce Abaliwano lauded Dr. Balikoowa for being selfless and fruitful to the community of Busoga and Uganda. “You have paid attention to issues in Busoga, we believe with this PhD alot is yet to be achieved” Owek Dr Joyce Abaliwano.
On behalf of Busoga Diocese, Dr Joy Isabirye thanked Richard Balikoowa for being a God fearing person and determined. “Your PhD is so significant in changing the lives of God’s people and the development of the church” Rev Dr. Joy Isabirye.
In his message Dr. Frank Nabwiso, invited Dr. Richard Balikoowa to focus on development of Busoga through the knowledge and skills earned through his education journey. Dr Nabwiso called upon the people of Busoga to focus on education for meaningful development tomorrow.
Balikoowa was awarded his PhD in Psychology by Makerere at her 87th Graduation Ceremony held on May 27, 2022. This comes in addition to another graduate Award in Educational technology he obtained from University of Cape Town (UCT), South Africa in March 2020.
Others in attendance included Mr. Richard Gulume Balyainho RDC- Mayuge, Radio personality Sir Grace Mwesigwa of NBS Group, Peter Mwanje Administrator at Makerere University, Charles Nampendho senior Physical planner Jinja City among others.
